Detail Sleuth, Devils Fan, Client Ally
Born in Bergen County, New Jersey, but firmly at home in Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey, Samuel Burkhardt is the newest associate at the Law Offices of Craig A. Altman, where sharp research and persuasive writing are his calling cards. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Communication Studies from Canisius University before graduating from West Virginia University College of Law in 2023, serving on the West Virginia Law Review and representing low-income clients as a Student Clinician.
Following law school, Samuel clerked for the Hon. James J. Guida, J.S.C. (Ret.) in Bergen County. The year inside a Superior Court chambers refined his motion practice, brief-writing, and trial-prep skills, experience he now channels into personal injury and workers’ compensation matters for the Altman Team.
Admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 2023 and working toward New Jersey admission, Samuel has already guided dozens of claims from intake to resolution, earning praise for a work ethic that belies his age and a bedside manner that calms stressed clients without ever easing the pressure on insurers.
Away from the office, he laces up for recreational ice-hockey games, cheers on the New Jersey Devils, and heads to the nearest stream with a fly-rod whenever time allows, proof that discipline on the rink and patience on the river translate nicely to relentless, detail-driven advocacy in court.
“My job is to turn facts into leverage, dig deep, write clear, and fight hard, so the injured can focus on healing while the law works for them, not against them.”
