As a suburb of Philadelphia, Ardmore bears all the charm of a small town, as well as proximity to big-city attractions. Once known as Athensville, the town garnered its current name with the Pennsylvania Railroad established a stop in 1873. With this, the area became a mecca for business.
In fact, Ardmore boasts one of the first shopping centers ever created in the United States. Suburban Square opened in 1928 and cemented Ardmore’s status as a retail hub. The shopping center became home to the first suburban Strawbridge & Clothier location. The department store sold upscale goods to the public.
Located on Lancaster Avenue and set against a richly historic strip of buildings, Suburban Square unlike other retail hubs in its pedestrian-friendly nature. The ability to enjoy the outdoors in between shopping visits sets the center apart from the often claustrophobic, enclosed malls that dominate so much of suburbia.

Ardmore Personal Injury Attorney
“Was in a bad situation and didn’t know what to do. When I called the firm, they explained everything to me so it made sense. Then met up with Eli. He’s great, and takes the time with me to explain things, and what next steps are.
Others at the firm were very professional and yet understanding as well.”
